“Painting and drawing are something I have enjoyed for as long as I can remember. My passion lead me through an education in Art and Design at school, sixth form, and then South East Essex College of Art and Technology.
In 2021 my husband treated me to a watercolour painting class as a birthday gift, and things blossomed from there. I began making all kinds of watercolour art including abstract art, surface pattern design, landscapes and urban sketches. When I was brave enough to share these on social media, the response I received was both surprising and exciting!
So during 2022 I founded “KC Sketches”, bringing stories to life with ink and watercolour, focusing on architecture and building portraiture. I’m now extremely lucky to be producing custom-made commissioned pieces for clients of their homes, wedding venues, shop fronts and a variety of other places with sentimental meaning. Nostalgic keepsakes that last a lifetime.
Much of my work has been made into limited edition prints, cards, wedding invitations, coffee shop menus, gift vouchers, tote bags, calendars, and book covers. I am very honoured to have been asked by some local businesses and charities to license my work out to them too. I’m having great fun exhibiting at local galleries, exhibitions and art fairs.”
